Senior Consultant Histopathologist and formerly Associate Professor with more than 15 years experience facilitating delivery of diagnostic histopathology, cytopathology and autopsy services in cardiovascular, thoracic and heart and lung transplant pathology in highly specialised hospital environments globally. Significant experience in busy university hospital environments. Seamlessly balanced responsibilities of combined diagnostic service / leadership positions and teaching. Adopted a motivational leadership style while engaging and collaborating with multifaceted teams and contributing to effective clinical decision-making – confidently liaising with diverse medical stakeholders.
Currently serving as Chair of the Conflict of Interest Committee, as the Pathology Professional Community Representative to the MCS Interdisciplinary Network Steering Committee and as member of the Reaccreditation Committee of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT).
Research interest is focused on precision medicine in cardiology and transplnatation.
Co-author of ISHLT consensus documents.
Co-founder of research initiatives, as for instance the Clinical Academic Group "Precision Medicine in Cardiology, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
